Vaijayanti mala — the ‘garland of victory’ associated with Vishnu and Krishna in the Bhagavata tradition. 108+1 seeds, 8 mm, handwoven in Vrindavan. Used for japa of Vishnu-naam and as a forest-garland reminder of Krishna in Braj. Not Tulsi; complementary to a Tulasi kanthi. Hold it in the right hand. One Name per bead. Do not cross the Sumeru. Hare Krishna Mahamantra and Vishnu-naam are the natural use for Braj malas; follow your guru if you have another mantra. A Very Distinctive Japa Mala
I ordered this Vaijayanti Mala from SRKC because I wanted something different from the usual wooden malas. The Vaijayanti seeds immediately caught my attention because of their unique natural appearance. The fact that it comes from the Vrindavan Bhumi was also meaningful to me.
