Description
This SRKC Neem Wood Sumeru Mala is a compact 27+1 japa mala, hand-knotted in the Braj tradition and chosen in Gokul — not pulled from a warehouse lot. Each strand is made from natural neem wood (Azadirachta indica), a material long used in North Indian sadhana for its cooling, cleansing, and grounding quality. Twenty-seven counting beads plus one clearly marked Sumeru (guru) bead give a complete round for daily naam jap, travel, or a shorter sitting when a full 108-bead mala is not needed. Beads are approximately 8 mm; the loop measures about 28 cm. Knots sit between beads so the mala does not slip during japa, and a simple saffron tassel finishes the Sumeru in the classical way. SRKC – Seva Essentials sources from Braj artisans and curates in Gokul, the janmabhoomi of Krishna. We work with local craftspeople, including home-based workers, so the wood, knotting, and proportion stay traditional. This mala is a japa tool: hold it in the right hand, move one bead per mantra with the thumb, and never cross the Sumeru — reverse direction when you reach it. Neem is suitable for general mantra japa, including names of Devi, Hanuman, and daily gurumantra, and sits comfortably beside a Vaishnava home temple as a secondary sadhana mala (Tulsi remains the kanthi/japa standard for Krishna-naam). Wipe with a dry cloth; keep away from perfume, oil, and prolonged water. Store in a clean cloth or japa bag. Shipped from Gokul with the care we give every seva item. Worldwide delivery is available on this product as per the rate you set at checkout.

Beautiful Finish - Happy with Purchase
I recently ordered a Sumeru Mala from SRKC and honestly, the mala looked even more beautiful in person. The Neem wood beads have a very natural finish and the hand-knotted detailing gives it a very traditional feel. I especially liked the 27+1 bead arrangement and the overall finishing of the mala. The thread work and tassel were also nicely done. It doesn't look like a mass-produced product; it has that handmade, simple and traditional appearance I was looking for. The packaging was also done very carefully and the mala reached me safely. I had a smooth experience communicating with SRKC throughout the order. I have started keeping it with my other daily japa essentials, and I really liked how simple and graceful it feels to use. Thank you SRKC for sending such a beautifully prepared mala. Radhe Radhe. 🪷
1000% Satisfied with mala
Whenever I order devotional products online, my biggest concern is whether the actual product will look like the pictures. With SRKC's Sumeru Mala, I was pleasantly satisfied with the actual product. The Neem wood beads have a beautiful natural appearance, the beads are properly arranged and the hand-knotting is clearly visible. I also liked the traditional Sumeru and tassel detailing. The mala was packed carefully and arrived without any damage. Overall, the product quality, finishing and presentation matched what I was expecting from a handcrafted devotional product. Thank you SRKC. ❤️
Some things you order online are just products, but some things feel a little more personal. I ordered this Sumeru Mala from SRKC and I really loved the simplicity of it. The Neem wood beads have such a natural look and the hand-knotted design gives the mala a very traditional touch. The finishing is beautiful without making it look overly decorative. I personally wanted something simple for my japa and daily devotional routine, and this is exactly the kind of mala I was looking for. Radhe Radhe 🙏
Simple yet beautiful
My favourite thing about this mala is actually how simple it is. There are no unnecessary decorative elements. The Neem wood beads, traditional thread work and Sumeru bead give it a very authentic-looking appearance. I also liked the hand-knotting between the beads. Thanks.
